Pre-College Summer Studio at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts

The Pre-College Summer Studio at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Museum School) is a rigorous studio art program for rising juniors and seniors (or youth who are between 16 and18 yrs old). During the full-time 5-week program, youth explore different media, interact with artists at all points in their careers, and build relationships with other young artists. It is a phenomenal program for young people who are serious about making art.

We have recently received funding which will provide a good number of full residential scholarships to young artists from the Boston community, who could not otherwise afford to attend. These scholarships will cover the cost of tuition, as well as room and board throughout the 5-week program. I am in the process of getting the word out to local youth and I'd appreciate your help! The application deadline is April 2, 2008 so I am hoping to do workshops and general outreach from now until late March. I am available to do application-assistance-workshops and/or meet individually with youth (and perhaps their families) to discuss the program and the application process.
